I married my best friend.
On December 30th, I married my best friend.
We made a decision to love each other endlessly. Through good times, and bad. Through my temper moments and his. We made a decision to stick by one another and to love when it feels like hate. We made a commitment to be each other’s new family and to build our lives and marriage together.
I thank my family and my Godly support. I thank all who made our day so special.
I promise to love with him. Love our life. Love our family. Love when it is hard to love. I promise to stand by him at his lowest point. I promise to stick with him through our lowest point. I promise to laugh with him. Talk with him. Cook with him. Travel with him. I promise to be a friend. I promise to be there for him when his faith is failing. I promise to help strengthen him as a person, when he is not strengthening me.
I understand it will be tough, but I am willing to work at it. I understand times may get rough, but I am willing to brave it with him . I understand sometimes we will not like each other, but I am willing to always love. I understand sometimes it will feel like there is nothing left to give, but I am willing to give more.
I love my husband. I love his ambition and passion. I love his desire for adventure and travel. I love how he makes me laugh. I love that despite everything, he is my person at the end of the day. I love how protective and safe he makes me feel. I love his passion to serve and his drive to fly. I love being his wife.
I promise to keep this in mind. I understand I might have to take a step back sometimes, but I am willing to do just that. I love my sweet husband.
I am excited to begin our adventure together.
